Read this listing very narrowly. The Florida Bar records his practice areas as Criminal and Criminal Appellate, his section as Criminal Law, and his firm's own domain is a criminal-defence one. His biography is entirely prosecution and criminal trial work. And the rideshare page on that site contradicts itself.

Florida publishes ten years, and only ten years. The line above reads 10-Year Discipline History: None. That is a statement about the last decade, not about a career. The Florida Bar is authoritative on what it covers — it publishes bar number, standing, eligibility, admission date and discipline, and it stands behind all of it — but it says nothing whatever about the years before the window opens.

On this page that matters enormously. Timothy David has been admitted forty-one years, so the register reaches under a quarter of his career. Four of the twelve lawyers here have been admitted long enough that most of their record sits outside it. Four others were admitted recently enough that the window covers everything.

And the lower half of the record is the lawyer’s own. Sections, practice areas, languages and firm size are filled in by the member, not verified by the Bar. Six of our twelve Orlando listings left practice areas blank entirely. Where it is filled in it is the only place a register on this site will say what a lawyer holds himself out to do — which is why one entry here reading “Criminal, Criminal Appellate” is worth stopping on.

What the record shows

The Florida Bar records his practice areas as Criminal and Criminal Appellate, and his only section as Criminal Law. His biography lists nothing but prosecution and criminal defence work, from DUI to first-degree murder. The firm’s domain is orlando-criminaldefensefirm.com. Nothing about this listing except the page itself points at injury work.Verified

The rideshare page also argues with itself. It states that Uber drivers are required to pass a background check and, four sentences later, that Lyft drivers are not required to pass a background check — offered as a distinguishing feature of the two services. It also describes Lyft drivers by the pink moustache the company retired years ago.Verified

We are not going to adjudicate what Lyft’s driver-screening policy is; that is not something we can source. What we can report is that the page makes a claim it does not support and describes the service by a feature it no longer uses.Verified

Of the twelve listings on this page, this is the one where the register and the listing agree least.Verified

What the firm says

He says he began his career as a prosecutor for the State Attorney’s Office in Orange County and tried cases in county, circuit and juvenile courts.Reported

He says he has assisted in trials for offences ranging from home invasion robbery to first-degree murder and sexual battery.Reported

He says he took his J.D. at the University of Florida in 2010 — the register confirms the school and year.Reported

Rideshare

Rideshare content — checked 14 Aug 2026
Firm page only
orlando-criminaldefensefirm.com — a rideshare page on a criminal-defence domain. It contains claims that contradict each other; returns 200 from our network
This is the firm’s own marketing. It shows they hold themselves out as taking rideshare cases — it is not evidence that they have run one, and we have not verified any rideshare case they have handled.

What we haven’t checked

Not established. Whether he handles rideshare or personal injury claims at all. The register says Criminal and Criminal Appellate; his biography says criminal work; only the page says otherwise. Five years of his career, before the window. The screening claims on that page, which it does not source and we cannot. We have not reviewed court records for case outcomes, we print no settlement or verdict figures, and we have no basis for judging quality of representation. A bar check is a floor, not a ranking.
