Read this listing narrowly. His published specialism is medical malpractice, not rideshare — he says he has focused on it since 2009 and takes referrals from other firms for it. The firm's rideshare page is also visibly old: it still names Sidecar as a current competitor and cites a poll with no source.

Florida publishes ten years, and only ten years. The line above reads 10-Year Discipline History: None. That is a statement about the last decade, not about a career. The Florida Bar is authoritative on what it covers — it publishes bar number, standing, eligibility, admission date and discipline, and it stands behind all of it — but it says nothing whatever about the years before the window opens.

On this page that matters enormously. Timothy David has been admitted forty-one years, so the register reaches under a quarter of his career. Four of the twelve lawyers here have been admitted long enough that most of their record sits outside it. Four others were admitted recently enough that the window covers everything.

And the lower half of the record is the lawyer’s own. Sections, practice areas, languages and firm size are filled in by the member, not verified by the Bar. Six of our twelve Orlando listings left practice areas blank entirely. Where it is filled in it is the only place a register on this site will say what a lawyer holds himself out to do — which is why one entry here reading “Criminal, Criminal Appellate” is worth stopping on.

What the record shows

His biography describes a practice specialised in medical malpractice since 2009, with referrals from other firms, and a Super Lawyers designation in medical malpractice every year since 2015. Rideshare work does not appear in it. The rideshare page is the firm’s and names no lawyer.Verified

That page names Sidecar alongside Uber and Lyft as a current service. Sidecar ceased operating at the end of 2015 — the third listing on this site whose firm page still carries it, after two in San Francisco.Verified

It also refers to a recent poll of Florida residents on rideshare regulation without naming the poll, the year or who conducted it. We reprint nothing from it.Verified

His register record is one of the fuller ones here: four federal courts, a section, a firm size and a firm website.Verified

What the firm says

He says he is a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum, was listed by the National Trial Lawyers in Top 40 Under 40 from 2012 and later Top 100 for Florida, and has been a Florida Super Lawyer for medical malpractice since 2015.Reported

He says he was selected to attend Trial Lawyers College in Estes Park in 2022 and is a graduate of the programme.Reported

He says he is President-Elect of the Central Florida Trial Lawyers Association and will become President in 2026, and is an Eagle member and former Young Lawyers Section chair of the Florida Justice Association.Reported

He says he authored articles in the Florida Bar Journal and the FJA Journal, which are public record; we have not read them.Reported

Rideshare

Rideshare content — checked 14 Aug 2026
Firm page only
thefloridafirm.com — a rideshare page that still names Sidecar, defunct since 2015. His own published practice is medical malpractice; returns 200 from our network
This is the firm’s own marketing. It shows they hold themselves out as taking rideshare cases — it is not evidence that they have run one, and we have not verified any rideshare case they have handled.

What we haven’t checked

Not established. Whether he handles rideshare claims at all — his published specialism is medical malpractice and the firm’s page names no lawyer. Seven years of his career, before the window. The poll his firm’s page cites, which it does not identify. We have not reviewed court records for case outcomes, we print no settlement or verdict figures, and we have no basis for judging quality of representation. A bar check is a floor, not a ranking.
